Founded in 2014 by director Oliver Hancock, the Nelson Consort is an eight-voice chamber choir dedicated to promoting music for unaccompanied voices, drawing attention to lesser-known repertoire whilst also performing more familiar works to a very high standard.

‘Let the people praise thee’ – music for a Royal occasion

To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty The Queen, Collegium offer a selection of music written for coronations and other royal occasions. The programme includes Handel’s ‘Coronation Anthems’ (written for George II), Mathias’ ‘Let the people praise thee, O God’ (written for the wedding of Charles and Diana), and more by McKie, Parry, and Elgar.

The boys, girls and gentlemen of the Choir of the Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick, under their Director of Music, Oliver Hancock, present a concert of music by 20th- and 21st-century British composers. The programme begins and ends with music composed by Hubert Parry, as 2018 marks the centenary of his death.
