St Mary’s Church has been a major venue for events for many years. In particular many choirs, choral societies and orchestras use the church for concerts, and there is a close connection between the Church and the Warwick Music Festivals. Many internationally famous performers have graced our building over the years. In addition the Church is used for drama productions, lectures and graduation ceremonies.
Most events are held in the Nave, which can seat up to 500 people, but occasionally performances are held in the Crypt which has a unique atmosphere.
Hirers have the option of using the Church organ, the chamber organ, or our grand piano, and we can offer poster space outside the Church to advertise your event. Additionally we have mobile staging units which are available for hire.
If you are a registered charity we can offer you one concert at our charity rate for the Nave of £315. This falls to £290 if you take out a second booking in any calendar year.
Our standard rate for the Nave is £445. This falls to £400 if you take out a second booking in any calendar year. Special rates can be negotiated for a series of more than two bookings.
All prices are for a concert/event, plus a rehearsal on the same day.
Other fees are as follows (any other requirements & fees will be discussed prior to confirmation of booking):
Hire of the organ: £105 per event
Hire of the chamber organ: £80 per event
Hire of the grand piano: £42 per event
Display of publicity poster: £48 per week (usually displayed for two weeks before the event).
Hire of staging: £80 per event
Hire of Crypt or Beauchamp Chapel: £126 per event (because of the uneven nature of the floor, hirers must submit a written risk assessment).
Concert Staff fee (applicable to all events): £85 per event (evening any other times required will be negotiated prior to confirmation of the booking)
